79 blazer transfer case?
I just bought a 79 blazer and I am unsure what gear the transfer case is in. The knob on the stick has what looks like 5 settings - High Lock, High, Neutral, Low, Low Lock. Is there 5 settings or 3 (High, Neutral and Low)? I can't really get it to click positively other than all the way up , neutral and all the way back. Can anyone help me get up to speed on this 30 year old technology?

Re: 79 blazer transfer case?
The shifter correlates to a NP203 FullTime case.
When in the Loc posistion the differential in the Tcase locks and sends the same power front and rear, other wise is splits the power front/rear to the end with the Least amount of traction.

Re: 79 blazer transfer case?
Interesting. I forgot to mention I have Warn locking hubs. Will it cause any extra wear or other problems running in loc as opposed to straight High or Lo on the road?
