Mild drop for '72

My stock springs are shot. Figure I'll do a mild drop while I'm at it. I just want to decrease the wheel well gap. How low can I go before messing with a c-notch, panhard bar, or drive shaft angle? I'm thinking about just some drop springs (coils front and back).

Thanks!

2/4 maybe. With not wanting to upgrade to a super trac bar, you won't be able to go with a 5" or 6" rear drop.

Be sure to check out Early Classic Enterprises, they offer some great parts and excellent service. I'm planning on running their 4/6 kit on my '72. You will hear nothing but praise about them on the board.

Just because you can find a cheaper price, doesn't always mean you'll get a better deal.

Cool.. I wouldn't be totally opposed to the track bar. Mainly just have no desire to do a c-notch.

Thanks

Re: Mild drop for '72

With a 4/6 you would not be required to install a c-notch, as there will be enough travel with the different bump stops that are included in the kit. This is one reason why I plan on running a 4/6 kit on my truck, and the fact that ECE has such a complete kit ready to go, no guess work involved. And, if you run into a problem just call them up!

They really know their stuff!

For any other parts you might need, also check out Classic Parts of America. They are located about a mile from the All Truck Nat's show coming up at Riverside. They will have any replacement part you might need.

Lowering the springs would be great Got lowered my springs for less than a month ago and it changed the entire handling of my car. I just hate the loose fender lip to the top of the wheel. Lowering springs will actually boost performance look.
