gauges

I picked up a complete set of autometer gauges but the tach and speedo ar smaller than the 5" ones most people use in their projects. Has anyone here used the smaller tach and speedo and if so how did it work out as far as visibility and function?

Re: gauges

Yea a couple friends have them and they work fine besides they are a little bit smaller. They are a little bit harder to see though thats for sure.

Re: gauges

How much smaller? I'm looking for smaller gauges so I can fit more in on the dash.

Re: gauges

I have both the ultralite speedometer and tach in the smaller variety. I bought them cause I didn't want to put the tach on the dash like it's some sort of bracket racer. The size is 3 3/8ths. The visibility is fine, but i kind of wish I did spring for autometers optional LED lights in blue. They are something like $13 a piece though, so I didn't. Instead I got the rubber bulb covers.

Re: gauges

I'm am looking at getting the same autometer kit that comes with the 3 3/8ths speedo and tach. My question to everyone, is how do you mount the 3 3/8" gauge in the big 5" hole?
