Lifted 4x2?
Hey everyone. I'm new to this site. I've had my 64 shortbed since about '98 and was active on chevytalk.com for a while. There seems to be a little more action going on over here so I thought I'd join in.
My truck is currently lowered. Cut a coil or so on the front and put drop springs in the back. I've recently had a change of heart and want to lift my truck back up. I'd like to have a k10 but I'll work with what I've got. I guess my question is has anyone actually lifted a 63-66 4x2 pickup 2-3 inches from stock ride height? I've been looking into springs and spacers, etc. I'd like to see if anyone else has done this at all. |

Re: Lifted 4x2?
Yeah. I just stumbled upon that myself when doing a search. I want to do something like that, but not nearly as high. Just maybe about 3". Thanks for the link!

Re: Lifted 4x2?
I just received a 62 4X4 chassis from MN that was originally a Nebraska farm truck. When I looked at the original pics I didn't see it was raised and when I got it home, they had raised the rear end by about 3 inches. They actually made their own 3.5" X 3.5" blocks and welded them to the axle just under the leaf spring. I don't know if you could get away with some form of the same for the coil springs? I was actually looking to raise my front end, but in a more conventional way, I don't have acces to someone to be able to replicate the rear.

Re: Lifted 4x2?
I just wish someone would just leave a short wheelbase 4x4 frame on my doorstep!
