Cal-tracs are made for your specific application...so everything will fit without modifications. I have them on my 73 with a rear flip, leafs removed and drop shackles. They fit like a glove. I don't have any pics, but can try to get some later if you still need them.

Re: Caltracs ? and pics

they just showed a set up similar to what you are talking about on Trucks. It was on a SS454, they did spring hangers, shackles, and a Caltracs. It all went together well. It looked like the hardest part of the install was getting the front spring bushing out. Go to www.powerblocktv.com you might be able to find out more.

Re: Caltracs ? and pics

I put a set on my 78 which has a rear flip kit. I ordered the Cal Tracs specifcally for use with the flip.

Here are some pics during the install.

Re: Caltracs ? and pics

Well we will see shortly. I am just finishing getting it back together. It would be done by now, bu have been backpacking in the Sierras for the past several weeks. I hope to get its maiden voyage in a week or so. I'll know then.

Re: Caltracs ? and pics

As mentioned, yeah they'll work. I'm running 7" drop in the rear with shackles, hangers, and de-arched leafs and caltracs. I noticed a slight increase in tire spin on radials on the street, but total elimination of hop. Spinning is safe on parts, hopping isn't, so I was content with the trade-out.

I'll let you know how they act with a slightly different setup here shortly. Looking into going to a mono-leaf setup, with vertical mount adjustable drag shocks inside the frame rails, with the cal-tracs.

Re: Caltracs ? and pics

Every one I have sold locally has seen an improvement at the track or so they tell me. We are going to put a set on my brothers turbo'd 2000 when he gets the tranny fixed... again.
