Re: any one shave there drip rail?
i dont have any pics but in mag like ct or cct they did it , they said you have cut a couple inches out and then weld and so on and so on. evidently the drip rail holds the cab together

Re: any one shave there drip rail?
There are three pieces of metal that come together at that point. Cut it wrong and you'll need another cab. I think you should also brace the cab to keep the dimensions correct while you work on it. Simply cutting off the drip rail may sound like a no-brainer, but be sure of what you're doing before you start.
I can take a picture of a cab that had new corners, floor pans and rockers, and a dash from a '96, that was not braced before the rails were cut off. The cab is trash. Oh the firewall was reworked and smooth, too. Those guys had a ton of work in the cab and it all went to pot.

Re: any one shave there drip rail?
Nope, but I've bought parts from projects from guys who started doing it but couldn't finish it up. I always encourage people to do this, I need more parts!
Good luck, Rg

Re: any one shave there drip rail?
This is how Chevy pinched the inner and outer panels together. When I cut mine, I went back and welded them together and grinded back smooth.

Re: any one shave there drip rail?
See my pictures in my gallery, should answer alot of questions.
I didn't cut my windshield, just laid the A pillars over. For the side glass, just had flat glass cut to fit.
