Got to hang with captainfab

I swung the big, brown kenworth over to captainfabs shop thurday night, and got the grand tour of his shop. First I have to say thanks to John for having me over and for dinner. I highly recommend him for anybody that needs some very nice custom work done in the northern idaho, washington area. He does beautiful work! And I have to rat him out to everyone, he has a huge stash of parts and trucks. (sorry John) He is working on a 63-66 chassis for a feller that is a work of art! next time I am taking a camera, because this thing is just sexy! He also took me for a ride in his big block burban, its going to be a really nice rig after its painted. I am going to spend alot of time up there in the future. I had a great time picking Johns brain and vice versa.
I hope this thread is ok in this part of the board, if not please move it for me Fred. ty

Thanks Joe, Your a pretty good dude too, and you can never have to many friends. The captain hooked me up with a power steering conversion kit and the 73 up tie rods to get my burban on the road. He's a good egg

I have actually loaded up a carful of friends and driven. to SpoCompton JUST for Jack in the Crack.... I remeber getting really pissed when they took the one out of Post Falls cause it was the easiest to find. I kinda like the one downtown cause it has enhanced Ghetto Fabulousness. I have family there now so we go over dozen times a year or so. Next summer I say an ID,MT,WA chevy road trip is in order. Maybe to Goodguys? I know that sort of late in the year but Jon Z. and KD both can attest to the fact that I'll need every bit of that to get my burb to make the trip. I guess I got the dually as a back up.

Jack in the Crack is a throwback to being 18 in the early '90's when Boyz 'n' tha Hood and so-cal ghetto movies were all the rage and every suburban white kid thought they waz gangsta. I may have gotten a lil carried away with it. I even have real deal Compton city limits and a Crenshaw BLVD. signs that were "liberated". And I still believe rap music died with Tupac and Chris Wallace.

I gotta admit though my newest vice is Fatburger and In&Out
