I have one, not sure it's 100%, and I wish it was worthy
for the amount of coin you are offering for an OE set-up.

Re: Will pay $700 for NOS 72 Cruise Control
The second photo from wugungy looks very close to the photos I have seen of 72 NOS systems except for the vacuum manifold looks different, the black housing is missing off of the cable end of the servo and the turn signal switch rather than the lower dash Cruise-Master switch. Does any one know if the other parts are correct for 72?

Re: Will pay $700 for NOS 72 Cruise Control
Dan, the control/set switch is under the dash on 71 & 2's, 70 and prior used a larger cruise set/turn signal lever that was all chrome and kinda bulky looking when compared to a stock turn lever. Did'nt I sell you an nos 71/72 underdash cruise master switch last year? If wanting another switch there is one currently on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GM-Cr...QQcmdZViewItem

Re: Will pay $700 for NOS 72 Cruise Control
Mel,
You did sell a Cruise Master switch to me. I thought I had a system bought that was missing the switch. Please let me know if a system surfaces. Thanks! |

Re: Will pay $700 for NOS 72 Cruise Control
The second set is theset you need. The turn signal switch is acceptable, but the cruisemaster switch is correct. The first set looks more like 69-70 set up. The pieces are there including the bracket that attaches to the throttle cable bracket. This is nice stuff for sure.

Re: Will pay $700 for NOS 72 Cruise Control
Not to hijak but curious and it does apply sort of. Is the second set also what the 71 should look like? Or are there differences between 71 and 72?

Re: Will pay $700 for NOS 72 Cruise Control
I don't think that there are any differences between 71 and 72, but the early(top pic) cruise is different in that the pod mounts on the firewall and a chain pulls the throttle rod. The 71-72 style had a throttle cable and the pod mounted on the inner fender. Also, as mentioned above, 71-72 had the cruise master switch mounted under the dash, and the early style had a switch in the end of the turn signal lever, and I believe Classic Bowties is correct in saying that the original turn signal lever switches were all chrome(very hard to find item). Rod has alot of knowledge about factory cruise setups, and has a thread or two in FAQ about it. Dan, if you decide to buy the setup above and need a new under dash cruise master switch, I would trade the one that I have for the turn signal lever.

Dantip, based on your post, are you saying you are not interested in what was offered here in response to the title of this post?

This is what my 72 has... curious to know if it's GM or not. It's not listed on my SPID.

Re: Will pay $700 for NOS 72 Cruise Control
- Ok folks. I don't think Dantip is interested in purchasing this item. His last email leaves me thinking he has had a change of heart or it's not original enough. I think he may have done you a favor because I am a second person very interested. I'm willing to pay for nos. I'm also willing to pay for used and original. Either way, I'd like to see pictures of what you are selling.
