Who says the lowered guys can't work?

After several strong hint droppings, I felt it was time to finally clear some of my junk out of the ol mans shop. Not a huge load, but good enough to cause a little extra scraping! I had a fully loaded tool box (top and bottom) two 67-72 doors, two spindles, rotors and calipers, a set of headers and a bunch of other junk. I completely forgot to get pictures of the load, but she made the 250 mile trip to my place. I even had one guy stop by as I was filling it up and say 'Ya know, I'm a total Ford guy, but that truck is friggin bad@ss!'

Are those peephole side mirrors worth it?

I love the look of them.

The peepers probably take some getting used to. I like the truck.. Finish it. It has that NASCAR look to it.

Sweeet

I'm glad to see this post, I was thinking of painting my truck like that, but I think I like mine without the graphite top

Nice to see it loaded down!
I like the gray/silver top. I've been thinking of spraying my white roof & grille in silver.

Re: Who says the lowered guys can't work?

Thanks, guys. Despite gas prices, I've pretty much been driving her every day now. My wife can't figure it out. 'Out of all of the nice cars I've ever owned, not one person ever gave me a thumbs up, but everybody does in this P.O.S.!'

As far as finishing it goes, well, it's slowly coming along. I bought a new bed for it from another boardmember that I'll be picking up in a couple weeks. I plan on bagging it this winter, but I'm a big fan of static drops, so I haven't made up my mind for sure on that one. But she runs like a champ, and thats what matters right now.

Re: Who says the lowered guys can't work?

THAT is what they mean by "professional grade".

when mine was low (bags in back and a butt-load of fabbin up front) I hauled 5400 lbs of scrap metal. I got pics here somewhere.

you gotta love a comment like that from a ford guy.

Re: Who says the lowered guys can't work?

Load`em up and use`m.That`s what I always say.My project has a 4/6 static drop w/no c-notch.Once she`s together and all shaken down I plan to replace the rear coils w/bags so I don`t bottom-out.I want to haul and tow.
I like that truck.

I plan on cutting 3.5 inch holes in my crossmember, reenforcing it with pipe, and running it through that.
