Talking 79 Chevy parts in TX.*

I got this 79 2WD Chevy shell about 4 years ago from a former member of his forum. I planed to use the differential, tranny and some of the parts for my own truck. The cab is not worth salvaging; there was some major panel welding done on the floor and it still has rust holes.

The owner was building a race truck, but lost interest in his project. I'm keeping the differential, rally wheels and leaf springs, but I'm putting the fenders, bed, tailgate and 700R4 up for sell. I have not gone through these parts with a fine tooth comb, but I do know that the fenders had vertical signal slots which have been covered and the bed has some bondo work. Condition of the tranny is unknown (consider it a core).

No shipping, pickup only 30min east outside of Tyler. If your interested, respond on the post.

I would like to get the parts sold before the weather turns ugly.

L:Fender - $50.00
R:Fender - $50.00
Bed - $400.00 (without tailgate)
Tailgate - $35.00 (alone)
700R4 - $75.00

I have the doors that are in fairly good shape but need to check'em out again and get pics. I'll try to get some more detailed pic soon.

Re: 79 Chevy parts in TX.

Price drop, I hate to send it to the crusher when someone could use the parts.

New Prices:

L:Fender - $40.00
R:Fender - $40.00
Bed - $300.00 (without tailgate)
Tailgate - $25.00 (alone)
700R4 - $50.00

I'll bring the fenders in town North Dallas (McKinney/Allen) if it will meet you half way.

Re: 79 Chevy parts in TX.

Thanks MDC for you question about the Tranny. The guy I got the truck from never claimed the tranny worked. So I would strongly suggest a rebuild if you or anyone else buys it. I was going to have it rebuilt and used it, but I decided to do a Gen III swap instead and replace my hole drive train.

Everyone please post any questions up front. We don't want to violate any rules. I'll try to get better pics and more details about parts listed and unlisted.

L:Fender - $40.00
R:Fender - $40.00
Bed - $300.00 (without tailgate)
Tailgate - $25.00 (alone)
700R4 - $50.00 (needs rebuild)

My apologies fellas I was out of town and had not checked on the thread. I didn't think anyone was interested.

Shaun- I'll have to check on it, when I got the rolling chassis, the previous owner didn't assemble the steering and tie-rods. So I'm not sure how much is still in tact.

Mike- The tranny is still in the truck attached to the mock up block. I need to drop it out.
I don't know the year or if it was the original. When I get a chance to drop it, I'll take fresh pics and haul it back to McKinney/Frisco where I live; for a easier pick up.

Joe231- I will be sure to get any numbers from it let you know if the TV cable, linkage, etc are there. I will consider you next in line after Mike; if his interest should change.

I'll try to get you all details by next weekend, I got an October surprise from my job, and need to look for a new one this week. Thank you all for you patience.

Not a problem. Just let me know. Also, if you have the bracket that attaches to the intake manifold, that would be great too.

That definitely sucks. I wish you luck on your search. Take your time. We can wait, at least, I know I can.
