The tuned port manifold, plenum and runners are worth more than that. Then it should be and aluminum headed 4 bolt block if its from a vette and not a camaro or something. Definately worth it!

yeah, I'd say that's a fair deal, I believe the 87+ have roller cams, but still a fuel injected 350 for 250 bones ain't bad.

I can't tell from your post whether it is the complete engine, or just the fuelie setup --- either way, its a good deal --- if its the complete engine with AL heads, its a borderline steal.

Re: WIW- 1986 Corvette TPI
thats a great deal the reason why is that the vet base plate or intake has the old style head bolt patern the injectors are also biger 21lbs instead of 18lbs. other then that its all the same. The EGR is alittle difrent too but nothing your going to use any way just find some one from one of the vet or f-bodt boards that has tuner cat and every thing to burn you a chip and have one made with the egr stuff turned off.

Re: WIW- 1986 Corvette TPI
400 for the hole engine is a steal you can get 400 for the heads by them selves the engine is no diffrent then any other 350 would be for you. The wiring is a paine in the but so if I was you I would just buy a painless wriing harness if you dont feel like chacing the wiring down. there is a place that will convert the vet harnes to 3 wire hook up but it isnt that much cheaper then gettting a painless harness. the big pain with that TPI system is its a mass air system so you have to worry about air intake a little more do to the mass air sensor. again this is an easy fix if you go to a painless system and go to a speed dencity set up. you can also convert the mas air to speed dencityeasly on the origanl harness. . to do this you will need an ECM out of a camaro or fire bird.. If I was you I would spend some time thirdgen.org they have years worth of info on TPI convertions and sevral guides on how its done.

I'd do it the Vette heads are a decent aluminum head and the block is roller cammed, make one heck of a 383!
