WIW-Newer roller cam 350 complete engine
Complete engine with roller cam and vortec heads as well. Looking at one local and want to figure out if the price is right. Figuring this is a great start to a 383 but don't want to overpay. Thanks!

Re: WIW-Newer roller cam 350 complete engine
What are the specs of said engine? Cast or forged crank? Lift of cam? What C/R? What pistons? All this will help round the price out

Re: WIW-Newer roller cam 350 complete engine
I bought two complete Vortec 350's for $150 each. If you are thinking 383, the entire rotating assembly is of no use, so you are using the block and heads, so not much over $150 for me??

Re: WIW-Newer roller cam 350 complete engine
Thanks for the info. Were they roller cam blocks though? I thought that was the main expense and I was planning on doing a roller motor. From what i understand, i can save 3-400 w/ having a roller block instead of retrofitting a roller cam into a non-roller. Am i thinking wrong here?

Yeah, they were both Vortec motors (96 & 99).
