what all is here, what am i missing, and how does it mount??
ive been collecting things to put A/C on my K20. i am most of the way there, but i just bought a set of A/C brackets off ebay. can anyone tell me is this a full set, and if not what all am i missing? how does all this stuff mount? i have a short water pump and ram horn manifolds.
ive also heard something about a sanden? compressor that is smaller. will it mount to these brackets? where would i get one? thanks!

when I bought my sanden compressor, it came with an adaptor so that you can use stock brackets. I'm pretty sure I still have it if you interested.

I think Jerry is right there are 7, I know the small triangle one with 3 holes is not there, but can't think of the other one. They are small block brackets

Re: what all is here, what am i missing, and how does it mount??
You are also missing the large "C" shaped bracket that mounts on the front of the A-6 compressor. And a hose carrier that mounts with it.Now it's up to 8 pieces.
The 2 large are dryer clamps and the small clamp goes on the fenderwell to hold the heater hoses(I think). Each year is a little different. I've been trying to put together 3 sets for my stuff. Mike. Last edited by 100%Chevy; 10-26-2008 at 08:59 PM. |

Re: what all is here, what am i missing, and how does it mount??
i thought i was done working tonight, but i got so excited after reading this i had to run outside and pull these brackets off a compressor my grandpa gave me back in 2001 he said he thought the compressor was off a 68 or 69. heres some pics..
does this make me have a complete set?? i still dont have a small triangle like pickupman mentioned though. the C bracket came off the front of the compressor, the other came off the back

Re: what all is here, what am i missing, and how does it mount??
The triangle bracket you need is not the one pictured, it is only the portion with the three holes (first picture you posted after being in the shop) Those are small block brackets and you posted the right "c" bracket for the front.

Both of the un cleaned brackets are for a long water pump.

Re: what all is here, what am i missing, and how does it mount??
The "C" bracket you've posted is the wrong one,I believe. The adjustment slot is too far from the pivot.I have about 10 of this type.
The other for the rear is for later models. If you cut the end shown in the first picture off,it will be very close to correct(as already said). Put the long iron part on the exhaust and then put the other iron part on your short water pump.It will have one hole that lines up with the other on the manifold. Then put the "C" shaped part on.It has a hole on the pointed bottom that goes on the point where the others meet. Then the slot should match the hole in the front part for adjustment. If it doesn't line up,it's the wrong one. I can't post pictures and my wife isn't here!Sorry! Mike. |

Here's some pics for you. There are 7 brackets needed, plus some carefull assembly. Hope this helps!
