Where are the stockers?

With all the bagged/draggers out there...I would like to see some stockers. Here a few of mine. The factory stance and vintage lines are timeless...imo.

Re: Where are the stockers?

my 65 is a stocker, almost original unrestored, except for the front fenders. the only custom stuff on it are the big truck grille, those goofy mirrirs, which work too good to take off, and a reupolstered front seat I stuck in to replace the worn out original.. has 900 miles on it, so I am betting 100k, maybe 200k.
original 283 4spd.
I love using it like a truck, and as a truck!

Re: Where are the stockers?

I have seen that same grille from a 50-80 Series truck, but they CHEVROLET letters were inside the top & bottom bars. I like it both ways and thanks for posting.

Other than maybe a set of late model wheels, I keep my pretty much factory.

Negative Ghost Rider...pattern is full.

I will leave that to the others and I will stick with the mundane stocker look, fit and finish. Not to mention, I don't know the first thing about the process, so I will stick with what I know.

Thanks, but I can't take a lot of credit. I bought it like this in 1994, and other than some mechanical upgrades, I just left it alone. I have put over 60,000 miles on it since I bought it.

Re: Where are the stockers?

I don't utilize one of those monsters unless I am removing someone else's hack job. I am amazed at some of the stuff I see on the 4-5-6 Chevy trucks I have acquired over the years.

Perhaps you will get more feedback, by posting your question about dropping your truck in another post, maybe in the Suspension forum and not "Where are the stockers?".

Re: Where are the stockers?

I always thought "stock" was when a vehicle has the same equipment and appearance as it had when new. It should resemble the look when the guy at the dealership handed the keys over to the original buyer. For a clue, look at my avatar.

not at all mundane
i'm sure there are some board members in Kansas or Missouri that would be glad to "school" you on the finer points
once you get low, there is no going back, it is a sickness

Ha ha ha, so true!

I really like the 4wd trucks, someday I will restore something to stock, I'm just not ready to do it yet. I'm going to wait until my knees give and I can't step down into a truck anymore.

that is one way of looking at it,
i don't look at it that way, when i'm putting my blood sweat and tears into something, i'm not thinking what i will be able to get out of it.
adding dropped coils or spindles doesn't alter the vehicle, you can always go back to stock. completely bolt on.
that is like saying you adding later model wheels ruins the truck. Name: confused-smiley-013.gif

Tony, I really like the K10 stock look, like the one you built with your buddy Lee.

Re: Where are the stockers?

Here's mine. I have been doing a lot of work, but I'm certainly not a good enough body man! However, in the pic is how the truck looked when I got it from my dad, and he got from my grandpa. I'm hoping to return it to Saddle fawn metallic and white top. I kept the original 250 and rebuilt it. It is painted the factory ugly green, but it is original.
