A couple of weeks ago my dad put an early 80's Impala 307 in his 66 1/2 ton. This engine replaced the oil oozing 350. Says the gas milage is vastly improved, probably due more to the HEI.

My $.02: Get rid of your points! Get HEI. If you want to keep the stock look go with a Pertroniz Ignitor! Trust me, only good things will come of it!

Sorry, just put an Ignitor in my 71, best thing I've done so far.

Long Knight is right.........Took the points out and put in a HEI.......My truck runs and starts much better w/the HEI..........Just my 2 cents worth..........HEMMIT
