Thorbecke Bros. A-Arms for bags,...
Ok Guys,... I have an inside scoop on some NEW tubular control arms. These things are super beefy and work with air bags on stock crossmember applications. (EDIT: They will not work with the "newest" design Dropmember,... But will work with the Thorbecke Bros. Raised Crossmember)
These pics show upper and lower arms, shocks, and new shock re-locators for the upper mount. Pictured, is the swaybar from ART w/ their PosiLink swaybar end$. I'll let Jason from Thorbecke Bros. (*****************) update us with prices. Until now, ART made the ONLY quality tubular a-arm for the bag guys. (Don't ask me about CPP) Just giving you guys a look at a NICE alternative. Look at the size of that tubing!

Re: Thorbecke Bros. A-Arms for bags,...
The CPP upper arms on my blazer may soon be for sale. Since I'm bagging it now,... I may be purchasing a set.
I know their S10 version comes in a huge selection of powdercoating colors. I'll probably check into getting just black. Word has it, they are ready to start shipping these.

Best bet is to call them. I've known about these for a while now.

Re: Thorbecke Bros. A-Arms for bags,...
I wonder if they will let you order them empty, like they do with their S10 arms? Saves you about half the cost...
Edit: What keeps them from working with the DM?

Re: Thorbecke Bros. A-Arms for bags,...
Here are a few images of the upper cross shaft. The lower cross shaft has the same features.
Here is the upper cross shaft after all machining has been done. Notice the zerk fittings on top and the small holes on the part where the bushing goes? That little hole is where the grease comes out to keep the bushings all lubed up. Just one of the nice features about these control arms. On the end of the shaft we slot it for a stainless lock washer. This will prevent the washer from turning causing the end bolt to back out. Here is a pic of the lock washer and bushing in place. Another stainless washer goes on and the bolt is then installed with loc-tite to assure that nothing is coming loose.
