sup i jsut got new weather stripping and put it all in but the doors are a b!tch to shut both of them, im sure somebody has had this same probelm i have tryed everything on the doors

Im having the same problem on my 63' and it been installed for a while now.

There are alot of variables involved here. I would get inside with a dollar bill and close the door if possible with the bill between the door and the rubber. There should be a slight drag when pulled out. I would do that all the way around the door to see what areas are tight or loose. You might be able to formulate a game plan from there.

I saw a post somewhere, they removed the latches and put a ratchet strap from door to door on the inside and left tension on the rubber for several days, believe they tightened the strap every couple days, helped to "break in" the new rubber

interesting... that's a neat idea. I've had this same problem after I did mine too. I just figured the heat of the sun in the late summer would soften them, but that never happened.

no problem, I thought it was a great idea, so i filed it away

wish i could give credit where it is due....i just can't remember where i saw it.....
my filing system leaves something to be desired

i think i have concluded to just bend the tabs that the weatherstripping glues to, either that or try the idea that joe231 said with a cum-a-long
