Do all small block chevy's have a pilot hole?
I need to know if my 1975 chevy small block 400 that powers a 1/2ton 4x4 would have the pilot hole in the crankshaft for a four speed manual transmission.. I have bought another 75 chevy truck and it has a four speed in it and I want to take the 400 out of that truck and put it in the 75 with the manual.. From the factory the 400 had a automatic tranny behind it.. And I don't want to pull the engine out to find out that I cannot put a manual tranny behind it without changing out the crank, because the is a overhauled 400.. Any thoughts please list.. Thanks...

You should be able to get a pilot bushing at any good auto parts store. Just tell them what motor and trans combo you are going to fit together. You will need the Flywheel from the standard motor and the bolts that hold it to the crank.
