My gas pedal falls off...
How do I make it stay attached? It sits on the two little studs on the floor, but always falls off when I take my foot off the gas. What holds it on?

Re: My gas pedal falls off...
Sounds like the two little studs are wore out our kinda rotted like the ones that used to be on my truck. I ordered the new studs and have had no probs

Re: My gas pedal falls off...
Is it the studs or is the rubber pedal wore out? If the studs have a bulb on them that doesn't look corroded, it may be that the rubber on the bottom of the pedal is broken or rotted. The pedal pushes down on the bulbs hard to stay on... try to push it back on first?

Re: My gas pedal falls off...
I'm having the same issue. I bought a new rubber pedal for mine and my studs aren't in bad shape at all but the pedal will hardly go on at all and if it does go on, it won't stay. I'm about fed up with the whole gas pedal crap and I'm tempted to buy a new Lokar pedal and cable setup. It's pricey but it works.

Re: My gas pedal falls off...
Mine did the same thing so I threw the pedal in the trash and just used the metal arm. It kinda sucks when your foot is wet but it works!

Re: My gas pedal falls off...
I lost my pedal years ago. Then I got pulled over by a board cop,he didn't give me a ticket but did say I needed to get a gas pedal. So I made one out of a scrap of stainless steel and bolted it to the arm.

Re: My gas pedal falls off...
I had this problem last year. My pedal was plastic and the cups on the bottom wore out. I then got a rubber pedal out of a junk trunk after a couple of months, but when I had that pedal on, it wouldn't return all the way. So I have just had the metal arm for about a year. It is not to bad, except for as other people said when you are barefoot.

Re: My gas pedal falls off...
Wow it seems I am not the only one with this problem. I have just thrown the pedal on the floor and use the stick, but it is hard to use if your shoes are wet. Thanks Brad, I might take you up on that. And I am still interested in your S10 belts if you have them....

Re: My gas pedal falls off...
Any reason where a door hinge may not work? Bolt to the floor and to the pedal..
My thought to the problem. My falls off too, but since the truck ain't driving right now, it's not on my list of to-do |

Re: My gas pedal falls off...
That could work, if you found a small hinge it would be easy to hide under the carpet

Re: My gas pedal falls off...
Before I bought new studs and a pedal, a black head sheet metal screw thru the part that sets on the floor held it on just fine. Also carpet pad too thick or just crud and dirt under the mat will push it off.

Don't take your foot off the gas pedal.
