Re: camshaft selection
I would call Cane,Comp,Lunati etc with all your specs and see what they recommend, they are in the business of grinding cams, you may require a custom ground cam for your application,

Re: camshaft selection
I'm running a Comp cam nitrous/blower cam 11-564-4. I like it. If you want to look elsewhere make sure you get a cam with at least 113 degrees of lobe seperation which keeps from bleeding the boost out the exhaust and you want a split duration, more exhaust duration to help scavange the cylinders better.

Re: camshaft selection
Take a look at the engine analyzer post by super 73, page 4. He punched in my #'s with the stock 6"crank pulley and with the overdrive 7" pulley. This will give you an idea of the hp my set up is getting and yours is pretty much identical to mine.
You might want to see how that converter feels, I'm running a 2500 and 3.73 gears and it leaves strong. That 3200 may be a bit high, you'll find that with the added torque of the blower will make that coverter flash a bit higher.

Re: camshaft selection
I am, for building the engine with a 6k rpm limit and planning the build on more street usuability it seems like a good choice to me. It has lots of grunt down low and pulls like hell to redline and smooth all the way through, smooth idle at 800 rpm.
I think going any larger would put my peak HP past my 6k rpm limit.

Re: camshaft selection
The only thing I'd possibly change is maybe having the same grind made in a hyd. roller, with maybe a bit more lift to use the flow #'s in my heads a bit more.

Re: camshaft selection
I was going to recommend something that I have, but you said you were looking to make it more of a cruiser. My specs are around .690 lift with around 310 duration (sorry I can't find my cam card and its a custom grind). My power band is around 3 to 7 grand but I don't spin it that hard due to mainly stock internals. I would look for something in the .550 to .575 lift with about 285 duration. It would still be a stout cam but with a lower power band and more low end torque IMO.
