4x4 disc
My frienf has i think a 69 4x4 with a 8 lug straight axle and wants front disc . is it possible ?

Get an axle from a '71-'87 - should bolt right in (not sure on the driveshaft though - might have to change U-joints). '71-'77 should be a D44 and '77-'87 should be a 10bolt (but they are interchangeable)

The axle he has should be the closed knuckle Dana 44. Terrible turning radius compared to a newer Dana 44. I don't think the newer outers can be swapped on to this closed knuckle axle.
I agree with arkracing - swap in a newer axle and get disks and a better turning radius!
