Freshened up the engine bay on my '66 Chevy K20

Here are some before and after pictures of my '66 Chevy K20, BIGBLUE, engine bay. I replaced the exhaust/intake manifold, new exhaust down pipe, factory six cylinder fan shroud, air cleaner, heater box, battery, wiper fluid bottle and cleaned things up a bit. A good bath at the local car wash helped a lot also.

Tony,

It's amazing what a little cleaning will do. Thanks for sharing.

Looks good Tony,
What's the history on the windsheild wiper fluid can, what year did they add it?
Thanks, David

David:

In 1966 the federal transportation department mandate reverse lights, seat belts and 2-speed wipers with wiper fluid bottles, so the wiper fluid bottles came standard in 1966, but they were avialable as an R.P.O. (regular production option) in light series Chevy trucks from 1960-1965.

Re: Freshened up the engine bay on my '66 Chevy K20

Here are a few before and after of the interior...I replaced the windshield and rubber, the rear glass and rubber, replaced the van captain's seats with a factory bench, replaced the aftermarket radio with a factory AM radio, repaired the heater levers, repaired the glove box door, installed a new floor mat, shifter boots, factory seat belts and fixed lots of broken and missing parts.

She is not a show-stopper, but she will start, run and drive, even when it is below zero outside.
