Sea Foam Green '72
Hello all and yes, I am new to the site. I have my dad's 72 C-10 SWB truck in my garage. My father is the second owner and we've had it since around 1980. It has tremendous sentimental value. I am starting to get motivated about getting the truck back on the road. My question is about the color. I am leaning more and more towards keeping the original sea foam green color (it has a white top). Does anyone have any pictures of a restored '72 in this color combo? And how hard is it to get replacement interior parts in this color? For example, the driver's side seatbelt retractor's plastic cover is cracked. I've never seen a replacement.
(FYI. It has the original 307 and original th350 transmission. Years ago the original rear went out and for reasons beyond me, my uncle and grandfather put a sedan rear end in. Two years ago I located a five lug rear out of a '71 and put it in. This is a mostly original truck.) |

Welcome from sunny (LOL) Seattle, WA! You will find this site a great resource for information. That color is probably GM Light Green 503. Check the glove box door for number and options for the truck. Post some pictures of the truck for us to enjoy.
BTW...there are great vendors on this site that should have most of those parts for your restoration.

Ok guys. I'll work on a pic or two and will confirm the paint code. The inside of the glove box has all this info I believe. Thanks again!
