Re: frame mount brake booster

Looks like a set-up similar to an IMCA Modified, where there is no original firewall for it to be mounted.

Anything is possible!

Re: frame mount brake booster

Did you check out the right angle one in the suspension section? It puts it under the dash. The only reason I wouldnt run one like you posted is that with lowering, which I always do, it would crowd an already tite spot when you consider your exhaust has to tuck up...my first thought, anyway.

If its 4wd or stock hite, it would work fine and definately clear up the firewall.

Re: frame mount brake booster

The original poster of this is a good friend of mine, and we are looking to do about the same thing. He has a 65, but Ive got a 83, mine is laying frame with a 3" Z and 2" spindles, and his is just getting started, and I am trying to convince him to rocker his, so help me out on that! We both want to clean up the fire wall. He is doing a front suspension conversion to the 80's style, so we will both have discs front, and disc conversion for the rear. So all in all, we want good braking, and a clean firewall...thanx for all of your input!

protrash, saw the one you are talking about, problem solved! Thanx!

Re: frame mount brake booster

I am doing a similar piece on my 66. I got mine from Scoots Hot Rods in CA. They made it for my truck though. Pretty awesome piece.
