McGaughys c-notch

I'm looking at buying a mcgaughys 4.5/6" drop for my truck and I am wondering what the c-notch looks like. I've come across three different pictures for it between a few websites, here they are...

PIC 1

PIC 2

PIC 3

I think it's the first one, but I just want to make sure of what it is before I order it.

I kinda thought that on first glance. I knew the frame rails of our trucks were straight.

Re: McGaughys c-notch

Are the frame rails different on a c10? Might be a dumb question, just wondering?

i used a thick 5" gas bottle cut it 1/2" wider than the frame then cut it in 1/2 for the 2 halves then i got some metal from the metal yard the same thinkness as the frame shaped it, welded it and in 1 day it was done for around 20 bucks

Find just the notch from one of the manufacturers, get the part number, then search the part number at either Summit or Jegs. I bought mine from Stylin Concepts, could have saved money going somewhere else.

Re: McGaughys c-notch

I would but I have neither the tools material or patience. Just gonna buy a bolt in kit and weld it in then weld a backing plate on for support
