Replacement 76 C10 steering column: need advice on what years will fit
As some of you have probably already seen pics of, I have a '76 C10 long bed that has a busted up column that needs replacing if at all possible.
Here's some details: ***The original was a 3-speed on the column, I have since converted it to a 3-speed on the floor so the shifter will serve no function on the column. My low/high beam selecter switch is on the floor, and my windshield wiper switch is on the dash. **What I need to function/use on the new column is: turn signal switch ignition switch (can't start it with key right now) hazard light switch horn My question is, what years of Chevy pickup columns will bolt right in my 1976 as a replacement and work as soon as I hook up my wiring harness to it? Again, the shifter, low/high beam switch, and windshield wiper switch are all unneeded on on the column. Thanks fellas. |

Re: Replacement 1976 C10 steering column: need advice on what years will fit
I just had this exact question about a month and a half ago, it should of came up in a search. 73-76 is what everyone came up with. Are you looking for tilt, non tilt, or does it matter?

My original is a non-tilt, but I guess it doesn't matter as it's a floor shifter now. I just want a direct bolt-in replacement for my '76 with the low/high beam switch on the floor and windshield wiper switch on the dash.
