She is home! Pics!
My 53 comes home on Saturday! Plans are to get it back on the road after sitting for 2 years and make it driveable before I start the sir ride conversion..
Here is a shot of that sexy 1970's era Seat and headliner... I do not plan on changing these.. It also has the matching door panels to go back in it... More pictures to come!

Re: She comes home this weekend!
Well she is home..The wife and I braved Thunderstorms, tornadoes, flooding and major road construction to go get this thing and get it back here.. Over 4 1/2 inch's of rain fell this morning during our trip..
Here is a couple of pics of the trip...

Re: She comes home this weekend!
Thanks for the kind words.. It was a little scary at times with the flooding...
She is safe and sound inside her new home where it is always 67 degrees and dry now... I am starting a list of things to do so I can get my prioritys inline... The worse part of rust on it so far is the panel next to where your left foot wood be from the door hinge area to the firewall.. It is shot.. And then there is the usual cab corners to do... Someone had replaced the floor pans with a pc. of flar metal that I am planning on replacing with some real floorpans... Also someone replaced the side windows with lexan...LOL.... oh boy what some fun...

Re: She comes home this weekend!
We had a snow day so I took a little bit of time in the cold to get it running again and I got one fender somewhat on... There is a little bracket doming off the front of the fender towards the bottom..Does that mount to something?

Re: She comes home this weekend!
I am really jealous of these trucks. I love my 65, I do. But if I could have any other year truck it'd be a 50's chevrolet just like yours. They are just too smooth. AAAAAH, I shouldn't covet. haha, but I'm only 23 so I've plenty of time for another truck.
Keep up the posts cause I can't wait to this truck develop! |
