Re: My 4wd Conversion is finished!

It has 52" rear Chevy springs. I figured it to be close to 4" above a stock K20.

Re: My 4wd Conversion is finished!

Looks great! Someday I want to finish my poor Longhorn project. LOL Did you change out the rear spring hangers, or just add blocks to make up the difference? Great job!

Re: My 4wd Conversion is finished!

Just blocks for now till I get springs or put the original 4wd style springs and mounts in.

Re: My 4wd Conversion is finished!

The truck looks great. I know that you started with a 2wd, but is the FGB52 kit actually to convert a 2wd to 4wd or is it to convert a current 4x4 to 52'' springs. I am about to start a conversion and am looking for the easiest way possible. Thanks for any info. JH

Thumbs up Re: My 4wd Conversion is finished!

That came out very, very nice!! I actually prefer the slight nose-up attitude, gives the truck kind of a pre-runner or CORR look. Are you gonna stay with that stance, or raise the rear when you get new springs?

It's originally designed for a 4x4.

I talked with Kert and did the first 2wd conversion. We're talking about putting together a complete kit, using my project as a prototype.

Re: My 4wd Conversion is finished!

what will be the difference in the two kits. I may just go ahead and buy the existing kit and attempt the second 2wd conversion. that is unless the new kit will be out very soon. I am ready to get started and dont mind a little fab work.
