question on a 1986 GMC 1500
ok i am helpping a friend on his 86 GMC it's stock 2 wheel drive with a small block. my question is are these years computer controled with a feed back carb? or are they still just anormal 4bbl and HEI?
i know stupid question but i can't seem to find an answer

ok well here is what i am helping with when cold it is will not idle you have to hold the throttle to warm it up. not a big deal bt he likes to start his vehicles and then do some thing else as they worm up. seems like it desn't go in to fast idle

My 86 GMC K1500 had the computer and the "electronic" q-jet carb setup. It caused me a lot of grief. I finally gave up and sold it and bought an 84 Chev. My carb worked fine, but the truck refused to allow spark to the ignition circuit unless it wanted to. When it ran, it ran great.
That minor rant aside, your computer is up underneath the glove compartment. You'll see it up there...
