Yellow Letters
I changed my car tires from blackwalls to yellow letters.* I use that plasti-dip stuff for dipping pliers in (it makes the rubber coating for the handles)* and apply it with a syringe.* I came up with this because my dad had a nascar edition f-150 and yellow letter tires aren't available anymore and that's what came on it.* I know on his truck the letters I did have just started to crack some and they've been on there for 70k miles, so it lasts a real long time.
Here's one of the cars tires: I'm debating doing my truck too.* Here's a pic of the white letters it has now. Here's a pic I made in MS Paint with yellow letters Tell me which one you like.* I'm up in the air about it.* I put it on the car because it definately looks good on black cars and trucks. Re: Yellow Letters
Maybe if your truck was a 77 and had the yellow in the trim that would be cool, but I would say no. BTW I love your truck.

Re: Yellow Letters
Looks cool for the NASCAR theme, but I wouldn't do it to the truck.

Re: Yellow Letters
I don't think it would look good on your truck. Leave it on the Ford. I have seen those pens that come in yellow, red or white in the Summit tool catalog.

Re: Yellow Letters
I like it. I have the same wheels on mine. I would leave it just like it is. You did a real good job of applying the yellow, looks factory. jim

Re: Yellow Letters
Nice work, but it wouldn't look good on your truck. That beast looks just fine as it is. I don't really care for white letter tires, but they work just fine on your truck.

Re: Yellow Letters
yeah I think I'll keep it for black vehicles.... Probably red would go better, but I don't want to have red letter tires ...yuck It was a thought.
I got a pic of the car this morning with the new yeller letter tars. |
