Help with identification of part
This is attached to my distributor (?) near the back of the engine on the left side of the air cleaner. It has a hose that attaches to it that has rotted into. The truck is an 84 Silverado 8 cyl and runs okay. Just need to know if I need to replace the hose. Thanks

Re: Help with identification of part
x2 I'd replace the hose, it will make it run better and more efficiently plus right now it's a vaccum leak.

Re: Help with identification of part
That hooks to a valve just past your exhaust manifold thst closes when the engine is cold so the exhaust has tho go through a passage in the intake manifold and out the drivers side exhaust manifold so the intake warms up faster. It is a good thing to have as long as its hookes up right and works. I once saw one that was hooked up wrong and every time you stepped on the throttle it would close and cause a power loss.
