What did you get done? 03/08 Spring Forward edition.
What did you get done?
I actually got to work on trucks for a change. Simple maintenance stuff to start with. I washed all my drivers and had the tires rotated on my 06 Silverado. I went to a family birthday party and on the way home dropped by a local car show. It was the first one in the area this year and it was HUGE. Unfortunately I got there late and realized I forgot my camera. Sorry, but no pics. Today I did some "Honey Do's" then went to the garage. I cleaned up the dust on my 77 Cheyenne, and put it back under the cover. Then I started inventory on my 82 Blazer. It recently came home from it's last shop adventure and all the spare parts were very poorly packed inside. I pulled everything out of it and took inventory of what was missing. Cleaned everything up and neatly stacked it back inside. I got done just in time for a quick shower before a friend dropped by. He and a buddy looked it over and decided he wanted it. It looks like I will have to edit my sig, What did you get done?

Re: What did you get done? 03/08 Sprin Forward edition.
Went to the Detroit Autoram-me. First time I've taken my daughters to downtown Dee-troit. Had dinner at greektown (pricey but good).
Today drove out to Midland to pick up the gas tanks from Locab36. Stopped by to pick up the oak doors for the next house project. Tomorrow, 02 on the 99 driver, then brakes on the 87 diesel....

Re: What did you get done? 03/08 Sprin Forward edition.
I got about 10hrs in on my RetroRod project frame. Could of gotten a little more time in but I wasted about 2hrs just driving back & forth to Northern tool for various parts & pieces for my welder .
I spent some $$ too..... I bought some NOS parts for the same project (dash-pad & a/c contol panel). Tomorrow, I'll hit the post-office to get the MO's out to people. I also ordered another low profile truck-arm crossmember, lwb to swb conversion reinforcement pieces & the rear-most frame crossmember from Stan @ ECE. Hopefully, this week I'll finish up on the rear frame mods & begin the lwb to swb conversion. Gotta work fast 'cause Spring Break is approaching & Mickey M. is expecting us in Florida starting Friday.

Re: What did you get done? 03/08 Sprin Forward edition.
The weather was absolutely beautiful this weekend, near 80 Saturday and Sunday.
Went to a swap meet Saturday morning, didn’t bring anything home. Installed some dropped shackles and shock extensions Saturday afternoon. Finished up the airbag wiring to include running the wiring for the not yet installed rear bags. Having the wiring 95% done will speed along the rear install when the time comes. Found and scanned some pictures of “That 70’s Truck”. The pictures are of my then new 76 Stepside. I’ll post them shortly, please be nice! LOL. For now here’s some shots of the Heap, aired up, and aired out.

Pulled out the seat/carpet in my '69 and proceeded to cleaned up the inside of the truck.
Fertilized the yard.. BBQ'd... And had a few other projects to work on.

Re: What did you get done? 03/08 Sprin Forward edition.
Nothing truck related. My wife and I are buying a house and before we can close on it a couple of repairs needed to be done. So instead of waiting on the sellers to get them done, we decided to do them our selves and then get reimbursed for them when we close. Should be done in the next few days as long as it doesn't rain anymore (painting outside).
But I will finally have a garage to work on my trucks in, so I should be getting a couple of build threads started within the month.

Re: What did you get done? 03/08 Sprin Forward edition.
did a buddy's tune up.. apparently never done.. he's more interested in going out with the ladies..
but .. dont understand how you can impress the ladies when your truck barley runs.. started my truck today.. nothing special.. plugs r fouled from "tuning" and experimenting. motor mounts are tomorrow and so is the rodeo..

Re: What did you get done? 03/08 Spring Forward edition.
I went to the local jewel yard to find a Honda trans. No luck, I did find a stock hood for my truck. Picked it up for $15. Spent the rest of the day Saturday at a dragstrip, drooling over some 4 sec cars. Relaxed on Sunday until Duke/UNC game. GO HEELS!

Re: What did you get done? 03/08 Spring Forward edition.
Lets see Saturday went and picked up a new Crib for my soon to be born son. Then went to a family BBQ. Sunday steam cleaned the baby room, then finally got to work on the truck. I got all the power to the cab but the LQ4 doesnt want to crank. Im chasing down all the gremlins and things i overlooked. If the truck lords will it, i can hear it run next weekend.

Re: What did you get done? 03/08 Spring Forward edition.
I spent all day Sunday basically picking up my new 85 K5 4x4 Blazer and a donor 87 with running gear. The paint job was NOT a plus on the selling point, but...
