Need some info
Hey guys
I need a couple measurements and a pic. The pic I need is of how the brake pedal assembly attaches to the frame. The measurements are of the position of the whole where it goes through the firewall. If someone could measure up from the floor and over from the kick panel I would be very grateful. Kim |

Re: Need some info
Is this for a 55-59? If so I'll try to get pics and measurement tomorrow.

Re: Need some info
On my 57 the brake pedal is about 19 inches over from the kick panel and 6 inches up from the bend where the floor meets the toe board. Sorry couldn't get under it to take a pic of the master.

Re: Need some info
The master fastens with 2 bolts that thread into a plate that extends out about a couple inches from the inside of the frame. That's the best I can explain it from memory...
On my last truck I bought an adapter that lets you bolt on a newer dual master without a power booster and still uses the original pedal. Worked great, I'll try to find out where it came from. |
