pics of my trucks and chevy junk yard!
Nothing special, all my trucks need a lot of work. Here they are.
This truck used to be a 2wd crew cab, someone welded the front 1/2 of a 3/4 ton 4x4 frame to the back 1/2 of the crew cab frame to make it 4wd. They put a 400/205 in, but skimmped out on the Dana 60 and only used a D44. It has a remanufactured 454. This truck has probably 500,000 miles on it (speedo reads 475,000), it was a diesel, now has a 350, has a 14 bolt full floater, and a manual 4 speed, 2wd, I call it the Montana truck because it came from Montana. Here is how I store my truck. I take the good rims and tires off so they don't rust and weather check, this is the truck in my sig, I'll take more pics when my tires/rims are on. These tires I no longer have. They were awsome in mud. I paid $350 for this '86 Burb 1/2 ton 4x4. It smokes and something is loose in the steering. I mainly wanted it for the interior until I found out that the buckets won't bolt directly into a pick-up. This is all my parts trucks. In the far back is a '80 1 ton Crew cab, 350 motor, 400/205, Dana 60, next to that is a '78 2wd 3/4 ton that I took the Full floading rear end from, it also had a factory tach, but didn't have the interior dome light up on the roof...somethings chevy did I can't understand. Next to that is a '80 chevy 2wd 1/2 ton long box. I think its a high model scottsdale because it has the square headlights and the aluminum strip around the back of the cab. In front of that truck is a blue '76 GMC 2wd 1/2 ton long box with a 454 and 400 tranny. Next to that is a '80 Blazer 4x4, 350 tranny with a 205. Next to that is a late 70s 3/4 ton 4x4 frame, I plan to use that frame along with the body from the Montana truck on it for a work truck, I'll probably put the 350/205 in it and maybe use the 350 from the Montana truck

Man, that is a nice stash for sure. I've often thought of doing this, but my wife would divorce me. See, her dad used to run a junkyard around their house when she was growing up. She hates the idea of a junk anything sitting around the yard. I have to watch her real close or she'll throw my stuff away. Like when I put a shackle and hanger kit on my truck. I laid the old hangers behind my shop. Next thing I know, they're gone, right when I needed them. Damn, I had to go to a junkyard and buy a set.
Sorry, didn't mean to steal your post. Got sidetracked there for a minute. What was we talking about again? Oh yeah, real nice collection of trucks.

All of my trucks you see there are very rusty except the black and blue one with the lift. That has surface rust on the one box side and a little you can't see under the passenger door. The body was from texas (I spent about $1700 on just the body and it still needs dents fixed and paint!), I do not drive it in the winter/salt. The montana truck needs cab corners. Other than that all of the other truck bodies arn't worth saving.
As far as our winter, we should have about 1-2 feet of snow already, so this is very abnormal to be able to see gravel this time of year. The red one you think is a big 10 is actually just a bumper sticker someone put on the side of the box. I plan to keep all my body parts that arn't rusted. Is so nice just walking a few hundred feet and getting the parts you need. :p The frame weld on the crew cab seems to be an OK job, The crossmember ended up having one bolt through the 2wd frame and the other bolt through the 4wd frame, so it doesn't sit flush with the bottom of the frame where it bolts on. When we put the motor in it was a very tight fit, then I found out that the tranny dipstick tube had a crack where it bolts to the bellhousing, That was a very tight fit getting that out without pulling the engine.
