Re: Windshield
If you can't get the glass from your local auto glass installer, then you can purchase it from any one of the aftermarket pickup parts suppliers such as LMC, Classic Parts, Brothers, etc. Yes the windshields and rear windows are offered in tinted. The only optional trim for the rear window would be a 'chrome' type of bead for the rubber.

Re: Windshield
Yes, these can be bought new. I just replaced one of my windshields though a local glass installer, Insurance paid for it but saw the invoice was only $164. They come in shaded or tinted. You can buy back windows from almost any classic truck parts supplier or have a glass company cut one. I don't think the stainless trim was available, could be wrong on that.

Re: Windshield
Stainless steel trim for the rear glass was not an available option, however there was a rear glass rubber seal with a chromed, plastic bead, in lieu of the black rubber bead that was standard.
A local automotive glass shop is 1/2 the price of a windshield from LMC or Classic Parts, here in Kansas City. The removal, new glass, new rubber seal, disposal and warranty is 50% less than a windshield alone from the afternarket truck suppliers, not to mention, most glass installers will not warranty the work, if the truck owner provides the glass. |

Re: Windshield
Why buy aftermarket? Glass has changed over the years.
I bet Tony has a stack of OEM ones. www.4-5-6chevytrucks.com
