now and then

Lets see pics of your truck or truck's how it looked like when you got or the first pic that was taken with a little story, and what it looks like now or the last time you owned it
Then was when i owned my truck for a few months it was black rattle can painted every where, and was a complete truck that would drive barley since it would leak a quart of oil every few miles so the bottom half of the truck and under carriage was painted in oil, and all the engine bolts were barley tightened, front shocks one was broke in half the other was missing.
all of the body panels were removed the frame was washed several times and the frame and engine compartment was painted black, and fresh 355 was installed

all in primer

Re: now and then

I had wrecked my '87 and it was gone and I went about a year and a half with no truck. Grandad asked me one day if I wanted to fix up his old 78 c20 and get it back on the road.

He even offered to pay for everything I needed to get it back fully functional again. A family friend had some wheels off of an '01 chevy 2500 in his garage and said I could have them if I wanted them so I took it fast. Here it is August 2007 with the new wheels and tires and ready for daily use.

July 2 2008 I got hit in an intersection. In the pic is the oe grille I had just put on it.

Sept 2008
stripped for the body shop, gonna fix er up again.

got it all reassembled by november 2008. Much much better

Re: now and then

Wow, kinda cool to look at the background and see how it has changed too. Oh, and, ummm, the truck looks really good to. Actually it looks REALLY good. Love the painted bumpers.

It's not shiny, it's brushed. I haven't done anything to it.
