Air Bags or coils???

I want to do a 5-7 drop on my 71 with trialing arms.

What can I expect ot pay for a set of bags and brackets for the back?
I know you can go all out with air but I just want a nice ride so switches are out
Would it be worth it to just do springs and spindles in the front with bags in the back?

also.... how much do i need to c-notch? or how much can I go before i cut into my bed???

any suggestions on a weld in c-notch?

A bolt-in c-notch is as far as you can go before the pumpkin hits the bed-floor. So unless you plan on cutting the floor out, there's no need for a weld-in style kit on a 7" rear drop.

On a budget, the static front + bagged rear works very well. Bags will run you about $75ea & if you drill the frame, you don't need brackets. You will need a 1.5-2" lowering block to maintain decent bag pressure for a better ride & to help w/the shock travel @ 7" of drop.

Sweet! So as far as drilling the frame--- You cant just use the holes for the coil spring bolt? I have seen guys do a plate welded to the trailing arm to match the bag diameter is that not necessary or I'm I way off??
