modest lowering of 71 c20 rear end
From a newbie,
I've Googled and reviewed catalogues and found nothing, so thought I'd ask here. Are rear leaf spring lowering shackles available for a 1971 C20? Looking to get only a level ride with the front end so perhaps 2" would do it. I've already removed 2 leaf springs. Makes the ride a bit nicer but did nothing for the height. Thanks in advance, Stephen |

I mite get beat up for this, but I believe you can use 73-87 shackles. Mite have to screw with the hardware a bit.

How about flipping the axle to the top of the spring

Re: modest lowering of 71 c20 rear end
I met a guy who had crammed S10 leafs in the 60-something hangers....so Im pretty sure one could muscle the 73-87 shackles in there too.
My 64 is a leaf rear with flip kit. Its pretty low.

Re: modest lowering of 71 c20 rear end
find a spring shop nearby and have them de-arch the springs however much you need to drop

Re: modest lowering of 71 c20 rear end
So i have a 71 c20 and im wondering the same thing. Ive never really messed with suspension. can i do the kit with just springs and a flip kit? I'm thinking 3/5 but don't know.
