Gas Caps

Are the gas caps from 70 different from 72? I took the emission stuff off my 72, so I needed a vented cap. I bought one for a 70 as it is vented but it is to big and dosn't fit the tank. What vented cap do I need?

Re: Gas Caps

What did you do with the line that went to the evap can? I'm thinking if you left it hooked that would be your vent.

I took everything off, and sealed up the tank. I thought I read before about people doing this, I just don't remeber what cap they used.

I'd say if it's all sealed up then you need a vented cap.

Re: Gas Caps

Take your non-vented cap down to autozone and match it up to one that is vented.
