1986 grill and light to an 1983

I just picked up a 83 longbed 2wd for parts for a 1983 4x4. The 2wd looks like it has an 86 gril and headlights in it. Is it alot o trouble to swap it and get all 4 lights to work. I am going to have them both apart anyway. Both are GMCs
Thanks

The radiator support and wiring harness that plugs into the front of the cab are all you need to change it to 4 headlights. ...Joe

the 4x4 is single lights with the parking light under it, the 2wd is dual lights with the parking lights behind the grill

Both trucks have the same exact wires in the harness that plugs into the firewall. Can I just cut it and slice it al back together? Seems like it would be ok

I wouldn't cut and splice the wires as long as you have the correct harness for the 4 headlight setup. It would be a whole lot easier just to take out a bolt on the firewall and unplug the harness, unbolt the ground wires and swap the harness out. No cutting and splicing! And most of all, no chance of something going wrong later on with the patching together of 2 wiring harnesses! Just my opinion, and what I would do. Take it for what it's worth. ...Joe
