Rear axle width

Are all the rear end widths the same from 67-72? What are the differences?

Re: Rear axle width

Speaking on half tons, 67-mid 70 were one width and late 70-72 were 1.5 inches wider overall.

Re: Rear axle width

The 71-72 is 57in back plate to back plate. I recently measured mine. It is in a 70 Blazer 2wd. I almost would rather have the stock one back if it's narrower. Put 5 lug axles in and run a deep lip rim.
