Tire sizes

I'm switching my 17 x 8 Torq Thrust II's to 17 x 11. I found a great deal on them and couldn't pass them up! I'm looking into what size tire to run on them and have looked into the 335 35 17 but wold like something alittle taller but cant find anything. Any suggestions?

When I was looking to replace my stock tires with something that had approximately the same circumfrence I used http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp to help me choose a tire. I did not buy from them, but I thought it was helpful in figuring out which size would work best for me. Then I choose a style I liked that had the size I was looking for.

I have 17X11 torque thrust II's on the rear of my trans am. They have 315/35/17 tires on them.

Not very many choices for tires on this size. If you get drag radials (which a bunch of them this size are) they will be gone in about 3,000 miles

What brand are you using? I came across a set of Sumitomo 335 35 17 on Ebay but I'm not familiar with that brand. Anyone familiar with them?

I have the NITTO 555r extreme drag radials.

Like I said before though, if you are looking for a tire to last, unfortunately these would not be the ones. Ive gone trough 2 sets in about 4 years. And I DO NOT drive the car often at all.

Check out www.discounttire.com They have the best prices on high quality tires. find where you can type in the size and it will give you some options such as goodyear eagle and whatnot. Do not expect to get out cheap on these tires though.

M&H makes a 390/40/17 but it is also a drag radial, so it won't last long on the street either. it would look pretty nuts though.

what are your motor and rear gear plans?
