Rochester carb rebuild question

My '64 has a 230 with a 1bbl Rochester.... I have a carb rebuild for a 1bbl Rochester, but it was for a '60 Chevy with a 235.... Is it the same kit?

Re: Rochester carb rebuild question

You'll have to be carefull. Take your old carb apart and try to save the gaskets. Lay the new gaskets on the old ones and make sure all the holes line up. There are usually several versions of each in the kit. Make sure there are no missing or extra holes. If you are carefull you can add holes. Option 2 is to see if Napa or other can look up both kits and see if they cross reference.

Good luck,
Robert

Re: Rochester carb rebuild question

Both are Rochester Model B carbs, but they could have some differences. Just make sure the new parts you put in look like they're the correct replacements for what you take out, as stated before.
