Those with Coys!!! PICS PLEASE

I am not sure on a color I am going to use which will determine wether I use a grey or chrome wheel but I am looking for everyone who has coys, the size of the wheel, the backspacing if you know it and what suspension drop the truck has. Also what size tires you are running.

I know alot of us are running them, lets see some great pics with these wheels.

I am tossed between a 17" or 18" wheel. hell maybe even a 20"

What tire size are you running? what drop is on your truck?

I have been looking at every coy picture I can find and I think I am going to go with 20x8 front and a 20x10 rear with as big as tire i can do on a 4/6 drop

Re: Those with Coys!!! PICS PLEASE

OK I am really going with 20" Coys all the way around. I want to do a 20x10 with a 5" BS and a 275/40 /20. what tire would match this with profile height in the front and be a size that still fits well with a 4/6 drop? I have not seen 20" wheels with a drop yet... anyone? bueller?

Re: Those with Coys!!! PICS PLEASE

Ok, been looking at pics and reading info all freaking morning. I think I am settled on wheel size and possibly tire size. Would like any suggestions please.

Coy C5 Chrome wheels

20x8.5 5 1/4" BS 255/45/20
20x10 5 1/2" BS 295/45/20

Ill have a 4/6 drop and want to run a pretty wide tire if possible on the back. What does everyone think of this set up?
Will the fronts clear with no problems? I am pretty sure the rears will have no problems at all.

SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!

Call the guys at Coys and they will help you with tire sizes and what fits or what not, They have these trucks measured to perfection...Call them!!!

Re: Those with Coys!!! PICS PLEASE

vegaschevy... the only piece of advice I would have to offer is to measure your truck for yourself and to not go off of other peoples specs. (not that you have)

You can save yourself a lot of headache and wasted money if you make sure the wheel/tire combo will work first. My recommendation would be to lower the truck first, and then measure.

Each truck might seem to have the same setup, but just the slightest 1/4" can make the difference between fitting and causing a fit.

Just my $.02...

coy's seem alot more expensive, for example a 20x8.5 Torque thrust gunmetal finish is 200 a wheel. Coy C-5 gunmetal finished is 275 a wheel... Am i looking at somthing different?

I'm not sure where you got that price,... but I think it is incorrect. The last time I checked Newstagia Wheels,... 20x8 TorqueThrusts were close to $450-$500 each.

I have a Autocad file for a spacer for the center caps so you dont have to modify the front hubs or beat down the dust caps. Thickness needs to be
1/4" for the material. If anyone wants a copy just send me an email or PM me and I'll be more than happy to send it to you. I have sent several out allready to many other board members and they work great.

I was looking at the summit prices, but they dont come in 5x5, the closest is 5x4.75, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ARE-105M28561A/

20x10 5.5 BS 275.35.20
20x8.5 5 BS 245.35.20

Most people don't go with 35 series but I like the look. Backspacing is fine but I would like the fronts pushed out a little bit more. The grinding of the hubs was not that bad but it was required and remember to paint your brakes and everything all up cause everything shows

Anyone have a real close up picture of these wheels? Talked to Coys today....no longer carry the chrome with a 5" BS, can only get 5.5 BS. Has a shippment coming in mid Sept and says its 90% sold.

I decided to go with with these instead of the Foose wheels. Price was exactly the same. But you end up with more of a lip due to the fact yo can only get the Legends in a 6.25 BS (20x10's anyway)

Ill be ruuning 20x10 with a 5.5 BS and 295 40 and 20x8.5 with 4.75 BS and 255 45's.

Anyway if some one has some close ups that would be great.

Oops,... I thought you were talking about AR's Torque Thrust II's (which is a 2-piece wheel). Those are the Torque Thrust-M's (which is a 1-piece wheel) available in the new Camaro and Mustang Backspacing. Sorry.

Re: Those with Coys!!! PICS PLEASE

Like I mentioned above, it will be in your best interest to take your truck to a local (reputable) tire/wheel shop and let them help get some accurate measurements for you. It can be a costly mistake....

For instance, check out this thread... link.

Re: Those with Coys!!! PICS PLEASE

I just ordered my set.

Got the gun metal with 20X8.5 (4 3/4" Backspacing) and 20X10 (5 1/2" Backspacing)

I'll be running 245/40 and 295/40 BFG tires also.

I think the 255/25 and 295/45 will be a bit tall.

***I'm running cool ride bags w/ CPP Modular spindles***

Below is a truck (not mine) I found running the same tire size I plan on using but on Torq Thrusts.
