shifter help?
i have a sm465 tranny and i want to seperate the shifter from the top of the casing is it possible witout tearin down the whole tranny?

I would think you can with out taking it all a part. Let's see if anyone pops in and tells us. If not I may move this to drive train.

There is a round cup at the base of the shifter. If you push down on it and turn it, the shifter will come out...

ok i just spent a good mount of time outside spinnin that thing around counterclockwise and didnt seem like i was really gettin anywheres. travis can you move this to drivetrains like you mentioned so i get a little more help?
