68 wrecker rear diff swap
i've got a 68 c-30 wrecker and the diff. is giving us crap, so were going to upgrade, parts are just hard to find, our trac width is 64.5 in. we're trying to find out what rear ends are similiar or same. we were looking at a dana 80 out of a 90's ram but its three inches to long on each side, not going to fly. if anyone knows anything on the subject sweet, love to hear it

Re: 68 wrecker rear diff swap
You need a cab and chassis rear end. They are the narrow ones. A normal pickup dually rear is too wide as you have found out. Too bad you are so far away, I have a very nice cab chassis dually rearend taking up space under my workbench.
