Installing a Tach in a '64-66 Chevy Truck
That article has pictures on how to take out the instrument panel. Take your time and check everything on the back is disconnected, before you yank on it. a few image of my instrument panel, out of the truck, it will give you an idea of what all is back there Good luck, -W Last edited by Woogeroo; 07-05-2009 at 09:08 PM. |

Re: how do i take my guage bezel off
Are you wanting to remove your instrument panel? The outer bezel is secured to the panel with small bolts from the back side.
Ignition Switch- Put in key, then depress pin through the small hole with a paperclip. Turn slightly to the left and the key cylinder should pull out. Then you can unscrew the bezel around the switch and it can be removed. Nuts around switches- Remove knobs and then with a small punch or screwdriver- GENTLY tap one of the slots to move it in a counter clockwise motion. After initial loosening it should be able to hand screwed out. If you are wanting to pull the whole panel- you will need to remove all the switches- Light, Wiper and Cig lighter first. Just did that tonifgt on my '66. 12V Pug- ???? |
