Need replacement rocker photos
Installed step-rocker combo patch panels in my truck and when trying to wrap it all up - doors / fenders / alignment / gaps - they were not good quality and just don't fit well. I am thinking about keeping the step part and just redoing the rockers.
Anybody have photos of the replacement rocker panels alone? The ones in most company's catalogs are way too small to see the details I need to check. I am particularly concerned about how tall the rockers are - do they include the little stepup where they meet the step or what? Any photos would sure be appreciated. |

Re: Need replacement rocker photos
Getting rockers, corners and doors fitted is a PIA. Each time I do it I need a ratcheting nylon strap to pull it all into place then tack it all to gether. One of the best write ups in over on webrodder.com. its a series of articles on the lower sheet metal replacement and fitting. http://www.webrodder.com/article.php...5&SID=60&CID=7 the whole series is called Major Sheet Metal Surgery

Re: Need replacement rocker photos
Dave - thanks for the link. I had already read that set of articles a bunch!
I just need some good photos of a rocker patch panel alone [one without the step] so I can see if it will work on my repair. Anybody got one or know where there is a thread of somebody installing just the rocker? |

Re: Need replacement rocker photos
My rockers fit like crap also big gaps on the fender and cab side. Once I welded them in place I welded filler peices the front then cut the gaps and attached the rear to the cab. Got any pics of tyhe alingment?

Re: Need replacement rocker photos
I ended up using 4 rockers to make 2. They were all sorts of wrong.
