Do DROP SHOCKS lower the truck?

Okay, so I lowered my truck using drop spindles and drop springs. I am still using original sytle shocks? If I get drop shocks will it lower it more? Do I really need drop shocks? I want it like an inch or two lower.

Re: Do DROP SHOCKS lower the truck?

Well, when I put drop springs plus a loop cut, in my 63 burb, my shocks were bottoming out. So I put drop shocks on just to have shock travel. Rides just fine.

Shocks do nothing for ride height. You'll need to get lower springs and shorter shocks. My guess is you're using 2 1/2" spindles...what springs are you using?
