power assit to power steering
1963 gmc suburan. i have swapped over to disc brakes all ready i used tie rod adapters annd 6 lug calibers and now i want to chang using a power steering box insteed of my now powere assit steering. what all do i need to change out? draglink? or such thanks

You'll need to change the draglink for sure. I'm not sure how your 'tie rod adapters' will fit in there since I don't use them. It will most likely depend on which draglink you switch to. Then of course you will need the power steering box adapter plate and a steering box. If you get a power steering box that is a '69-'79 then it will have the SAE fittings like your current pump does.

Well considering you've already got the tie rod adapters, you could just switch to a '63-66 drag link for manual steering. If you were to switch to a later model draglink such as a '73-'87 (what I use) then you would have to upgrade to the corresponding inner tie rods. In which case you wouldn't need those tie rod adapters.

i need it all. sucks but mine was gutted as far as p/s. I had a 65 when i was 15 and drove it im good with my popeye arms... but I want the power assist becaus it came with it and right now its all stock. I ahve (need the parts to it) p/s p/brakes,, a/c. truck.
if you need anything in trade leme know.
